10 things to know about Anna Hazare 'n Jan Lok Pal Bill.. !

1. Who is Anna Hazare?

An ex-army man. Fought 1965 Indo-Pak War



2. What's so special about him?

He built a village Ralegaon Siddhi in Ahamad Nagar district, Maharashtra



3. So what?

This village is a self-sustained model village. Energy is produced in the village itself from solar power, biofuel and wind mills.

In 1975, it used to be a poverty clad village. Now it is one of the richest village in India. It has become a model for self-sustained, eco-friendly & harmonic village.



4. Ok,...?

This guy, Anna Hazare was awarded Padma Bhushan and is a known figure for his social activities.



5. Really, what is he fighting for?

He is supporting a cause, the amendment of a law to curb corruption in India.



6. How that can be possible?

He is advocating for a Bil, The Jan Lokpal Bill (The Citizen Ombudsman Bill), that will form an autonomous authority who will make politicians (ministers), beurocrats (IAS/IPS) accountable for their deeds.



8. It's an entirely new thing right..?

In 1972, the bill was proposed by then Law minister Mr. Shanti Bhushan. Since then it has been neglected by the politicians and some are trying to change the bill to suit thier theft (corruption).



7. Oh.. He is going on a hunger strike for that whole thing of passing a Bill ! How can that be possible in such a short span of time?

The first thing he is asking for is: the government should come forward and announce that the bill is going to be passed.

Next, they make a joint committee to DRAFT the JAN LOKPAL BILL. 50% goverment participation and 50% public participation. Because you cant trust the government entirely for making such a bill which does not suit them.



8. Fine, What will happen when this bill is passed?

A LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. The job is to bring all alleged party to trial in case of corruptions within 1 year. Within 2 years, the guilty will be punished. Not like, Bofors scam or Bhopal Gas Tragedy case, that has been going for last 25 years without any result.



9. Is he alone? Whoelse is there in the fight with Anna Hazare?

Baba Ramdev, Ex. IPS Kiran Bedi, Social Activist Swami Agnivesh, RTI activist Arvind Kejriwal and many more.

Prominent personalities like Aamir Khan is supporting his cause.

China's longest Bridge

 

Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay Bridge, the world's longest cross-sea bridge with length of 36.48 kilometers, connects the urban district of Qingdao City to its Huangdao district.

It looks like they're going to have to change some promotional materials down in Louisiana, where the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway has long claimed to be the world's longest bridge over open water.
At nearly 24 miles, the causeway is plenty long.
But today, the 26.3-mile long Jiaozhou Bay bridge opened in China. It links the "eastern port city of Qingdao to an offshore island, Huangdao." Now that it's done, it will cut the time to drive from Qingdao to Huangdao by 20 to 30 minutes.
According to Xinhua, China's official news agency, the span cost $2.3 billion. It's long enough that it could span the English Channel at its narrowest point, with about six miles to spare.

Top HR Interview Question - "Tell Me About Yourself" Answered

                Do you know why this question is asked so often in most job interviews? This question is actually an ice-breaker. Asking this question starts the conversion. So you should better be ready with an answer. This question gives the interviewer a chance to know about the interviewee. Once you start talking about yourself, interviewer starts preparing his/her next question. So there are high chances that the next question that would be fired on you will be based on the answer of this question. As the answer for this will be based on you, you think and prepare it before the interview.

While preparing for the answer consider including following points.

1. You:

Tell them your name and which place you are from. Suppose you are "Mike Creamer", then do not start with "Myself Mike Creamer"; start with "I am Mike Creamer". This is a very common mistake. Not acceptable in interviews especially in call center jobs.

You may talk about your family (cover up in short); you may talk about your how you came to the city, etc.

2. Your education:

Tell them about your education i.e. graduation/post-graduation. If you are a fresher then tell them the grades you got. If you have done something different than others then tell them. It surely adds a value!

3. Your experience:

Talk about your whole experience. Start from early years and gradually come to recent years. If you have a long experience then you must not be doing same thing all years. Then exactly what you were doing? This is what your interviewer wants to listen. If you are a fresher then talk about your projects.

4. Your experience regarding to the post you has applied for:

This is of most interest to your interviewer. You may be having lot of experience but how much experience you have regarding current job post is very important. If you do not have it then you can talk about some related experience. Or if you do not have related experience too then say it clearly. Buy along with it give them confidence that you can do it and you have genuine interest to do it.

Fresh candidates who do not have any kind of experience, you should show some positive attitude and exhibit willingness to learn and do new things. Be ready to do new things. Don't worry that you will make mistakes. Fresher candidates are expected to do mistakes and your employers are well aware of it so you don't have any reason to be afraid. Believe me no one will give you more work than you can handle.

5. Do not describe your salary or pay scale at this point of time (unless explicitly asked).

6. Avoid giving unnecessary details. Value your interviewer's time.

7. The idle answer should not last more than 1 minute.

It was an online exam…. Test Consists of 3 Sections…

1. Test on Synonyms and Antonyms (40 questions, 20 minutes: Also Q’s on Sentence Completion).

2. Aptitude Test (32 questions, 40 minutes: General Questions on Mathematics).

3. Critical Reasoning (30 Minutes: 3 Analysis Paragraphs and 12 questions Relating them).

4. Psychometric Test (150 Questions, 30 minutes: only if you Qualify in the above tests).

Details about How to Prepare for the above tests:

1. Verbal Ability:

      This Test contains Synonyms & Antonyms…Almost all of them were From GRE

BARRON’S 12th Edition & upward…30-50% of them will be repeated from previous

TCS papers. Few Questions on Sentence Completion were also there..for these also refer

BARRON’S

NOTE:

       During the Exam you should be careful because on the computer screen the names

Synonyms & Antonyms will be placed side by side so that we may by mistake choose

an antonym instead of a synonym…so Be Careful..

2. Aptitude Test:

 

        This test will consist of very general questions…This is the easiest section Compared to the

Other two. Almost 70-80 Questions will be repeated from the Previous TCS Papers…just

learn the method from those papers same model will be given..(This happen almost all

the times). If you have time refer to any Aptitude book of your interest…it may be

R.S.AGARWAL or any Other……

3. Critical Reasoning:

        Here Starts your Problems…30 Minutes…12 questions..don’t think that there is a lot of

Time..these will be somewhat tougher those who has some touch with such kind..and will

be Very Tough.. if you haven’t seen this kind before..so,you should have some practice

relating this kind of questions…

3 paragraphs will be given.. 3X4.. 12 questions.. first 2 paragraphs will be

some twisty questions… like our arrangements questions… routes between cities.. like

that… and the last one will be on Data Interpretation…

you prepare Data Interpretation again from BARRON’S…. but the remaining

from R.S.AGARWAL-Reasoning…. Or from Barron’s 13th Edition

4. Psychometric Test:

         This test comes up only if you qualify in the Aptitude test… This test consists of 150

questions which we should answer in 30 minutes (of course, that much time is not required)

Don’t think that this test has no weightage.. there is filtering in this test too… this test tests

your psychology.. Remember among 150 many questions were asked again & again in a

variety of ways.. so don’t get trapped… be honest while attempting this test.. choose what

you’re your heart says.. it will take you through the test..

INTERVIEWS:

Now if you are Alive Even after All these tests….then you have to face a Technical Interview…

It may be on the same day of the Test.. so be Prepared in Advance…..

The Interview will be done by a Panel of 2 members…. No need to worry.. They will be Very

supporting & Friendly.. First they ask us to Introduce ourselves… then they’ll go into your project

details… don’t forget to prepare project…. They mainly concentrate on your project only…so be

confident on every aspect of your project… then you should have some basic knowledge on C

language. There will be some questions like “what is the o/p of this code?”, “what are the errors in

the code?”..like that… so be prepared for all the basic concepts.. If needed you have to write some

small codes too.. at the end they will ask some general questios like “Why TCS?”, “Where do you

see yourself in the next five years?”, “do you have any questions?”, try ask some questions… it

shows your interest in the Company..

HR:

      Now if Chase this one too…. Then comes your Final Attack.. the HR Round… I many times heard

that “I failed in HR round!”.. likewise anwers…. But you should not fail in it.. because it involves

Pray for Japan people

More than 1,000 people were feared dead in the massive tsunami triggered by Japan's most powerful earthquake which wrought devastation in northeast coastal Japan forcing the government to declare emergency at two nuclear plants after their cooling systems failed.


Kyodo new agency reported that 217 bodied have been recovered while the toll could be over 1,000.

Meanwhile, Japan confirmed that there has been a radioactive leakage at the Fukushima nuclear plant.

Prime Minister Naoto Kan ordered evacuation of over 45,000 residents living within 10-kilometres radius of the nuclear plants.

A strong 6.7-magnitude earthquake hit the country's mountainous Niigata prefecture northwest of Tokyo early Saturday morning, causing landslides and avalanches and destroying some wooden houses.

On Friday, the gushing waters following the 8.9- magnitude quake, the most powerful since the 1923 tremor in Great Kanto area in Tokyo and its vicinity which was 7.9 on Richter scale and had killed more than 140,000 people, swept houses, overturned ships, vehicles and set ablaze several buildings, including a petrochemical plant.

Most of the bodies were recovered from Sendai.
